Pick up a Haunted Halloween Cookie Kit (available now!) which includes 1 Halloween cookie cutter of your choice, 2 bags of Halloween sprinkles of your choice, 2 AmeriColor Gel food colors of your choice, 1 Ready-to-Use Royal Icing, and 2 cello bags to package your entries.
Decorate up to two cookies per kit, drop them off Oct 22-27, and then come vote in-store Oct 28-31. Winners are announced Nov 3, and prizes include Home Cake gift cards or gift baskets. Full rules and details below.
2026 Home Cake Haunted Halloween Decorated Cookie Contest Rules
Purchase of one Home Cake Haunted Halloween Cookie Kit is required. Kit includes Ready-to-Use Royal Icing, 2 AmeriColor Gel food colors of your choice, 2 Halloween sprinkles of your choice, 1 fall/Halloween cookie cutter of your choice, and 2 cellophane bags for displaying the entry (or entries).
Maximum two entries per kit. One kit may be shared by a household to submit one entry in each category or to submit two entries in the same category. Maximum two entries per person.
Entries must be decorated by the person entering (kids may have help baking, but the design should be their own).
Home Cake Decorating staff and immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
Two categories will be judged: Kids’ Cookie for youth under 15 and the other category for anyone 15 or older.
Cookies must be sealed in cellophane bags (provided with kit, larger bags available if needed) for judging.
All submissions must be received between October 22-27, 2026.
All winners are selected via customer voting, taking place October 28-31, 2026.
Judging is for ‘favorite design’. Cookies will not be taste-tested.
Winners will be chosen by ‘most votes’.
Voting will take place in-store via paper ballot, one vote per customer visit.
In the event of a two-way tie for First Place, both entries will receive First Prize.
In the event of a three-way tie for First Place, all three entries will receive Second Prize.
In the event of a tie for Second Place, all winners will receive Second Prize.
Winner announced November 3, 2026. If you would like to pick up your cookie after the contest, you must do so by November 7, 2026.
By entering, you agree that Home Cake Decorating may photograph your entry and share it on our social media, newsletter, and website.
